Week 2: Homeless

Though I wanted to keep this English there was just no translations that fit this illustration. The speech bubble says “We do not want you!!“; the sign says “unwanted“.

For more than eight months I have been looking for a place to live in Copenhagen. As I don’t like living alone I have mainly been looking at dormitories, and though there are many I have not yet gotten any positive answers. In the beginning it was just annoying not being able to find a (permanent) place to live, but as it has gradually begun to feel more and more personal it is getting really tough to stay positive.

Bonus info: A similar illustration could be made for my current situation at the job market and in my love life.

Week 1: Berlin

This year New Years Eve was spend in Berlin, with a lot of beer, a lot of sightseeing and a whole lot of not worrying about the upcoming exams.

30 minutes before the new year, we got the idea that we wanted to see the fireworks from the closed down Berlin Tempelhof Airport from where there was a spectacular view over the entire city. We were of course late, climbing over the fence was a pain (AS was still hanging at the top when the clock struck twelve) and a guard kicked us out only a short while after, but the view over the fireworks from the entire city!
